Great news for Afghan Whigs fans--the band will reunite for a couple of festivals next year. According to Billboard, the band will be playing All Tomorrow's Parties in London next May, plus they'll also play the U.S. I'll Be Your Mirror show in Ashbury Park, New Jersey on September 22nd. Tickets go on sale in January.

Afghan Whigs' leader Greg Dulli has recently been busy with his other project The Twilight Singers. The band released the full length cd Dynamite Steps back in the winter. Dulli will also appear on the new Mark Lanegan record, Blues Funeral, which drops in February 2012.

Listen to some Afghan Whigs:

In 1993 Afghan Whigs added some disco beats to "Miles iz Dead," called the new version "Rebirth of the Cool" and released it on Uptown/Avondale.

Wow, look at the price on the Uptown/Avondale cd! At least the iTunes version is reasonably priced.
