Must see German TV: On April 16th, 1984 Depeche Mode and New Order appeared on the weekly television program Musik Convoy. At that point, Depeche Mode were a few months away from releasing Some Great Reward; New Order had just released "Thieves Like Us" as a single. Both bands had enjoyed some commercial success in Germany but were still on the cusp of becoming huge. Despite being a bit uncomfortable to watch at times (Depeche Mode's performance was clearly lip-synched; New Order's was live), it's a pretty fabulous walk down memory lane. Enjoy below via Electronic Beats.
