In celebration of today - Friday the 13th - Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross premiered their reinterpretation of the theme to the classic 1978 spooktacular Halloween. The haunting track was originally composed by John Carpenter, who has publicly given Reznor & Ross props for their updated version of his classic. Reznor has said of Carpenter's original theme:

"We were damaged and scarred, with the shit genuinely scared out of us and that theme stuck firmly in our heads. John Carpenter, it’s your fault that I turned out the way I did"

Reznor/Ross' take on Halloween is available to stream below and will be included on a new compilation Anthology: Movie Themes 1974 - 1988 which arrives October 20th. Pre-order here.
