Happy Birthday, Ian MacKaye!

MacKaye is best known for his work in legendary bands Minor Threat and Fugazi, and he also runs Dischord Records. Last year Dischord launched an extensive live Fugazi archive, Fugazi Live Series A - Z, which will eventually feature over 800 Fugazi concerts from over the years. The archive is constantly being updated--last week 25 concerts were added to the archive--so it's a work in progress. The concerts are downloadable for a small fee, you can pay five dollars per concert or you have the option to name your own price (see the site for details). Access the archive here.

It's not the project MacKaye will necessarily be remembered for, but I really enjoyed Pailhead, the awesome WaxTrax side project that also featured Al Jourgensen and friends.
