Dinosaur Jr are preparing to release their new album I Bet On Sky on September 18th, and J Mascis recently spent time in the U.K. doing interviews ahead of the album's release.  It would be an understatement to say the reticent Mascis isn't a fan of interviews: his responses are short (uncomfortably short at times), to the point, and always quite entertaining.   

The Guardian published their interview with Mascis yesterday and it's a fun read--Nirvana, Neil Young, Jesus & Mary Chain, Blur, and Damon Albarn were all name-checked.  In the interview Mascis also revealed his favorite Dinosaur Jr album is 1987's You're Living All Over Me, and said he was "mortified" when Spin put him on their cover with the headline 'J Mascis Is God.'  Read the full interview with the Guardian here.
