The Damned announced they'll head into the studio next month with legendary producer Tony Visconti to record their eleventh studio album and first since 2008's So Who's Paranoid? The band will be recording the album in Brooklyn and called working with Visconti a "dream come true." From their statement:

"We want to to the unexpected. We've never been predictable...neither has Tony. There will be a measure of experimentation and we know he'll do his best to artistically challeng us. He's been at the top of our producer list since we started thinking about recording the album, dream come true he's on board."

The new album from The Damned is still untitled and is expected to be released in 2018. Last year they launched a Pledge Music campaign in support of the album which you can check out here.

The Damned also announced the return of former bass player Paul Gray who played on The Black Album and Strawberries. He replaces exiting bassist Stu West.
