Scritti Politti's Rhodri Marsden, has been on a tear recording covers and posting them online. Last Christmas he gave us the awesome "Heaven Knows I'm Christmassy Now" and he's followed that up with an outstanding acoustic piano cover of XTC's "Love On A Farmboy's Wages." This is seriously the best cover ever:

His latest cover is "Up, Up, And Away" originally by the 5th Dimension

This one might make you laugh a bit--it's "Love Will Keep Us Together" originally by Captain & Tennille, but with a bit of a Joy Division flair at the beginning:

And who can't get behind a Hall & Oates cover?

"Private Eyes"

Besides creating music, Marsden has also been busy with writing--he's just authored a book on dating and he has a weekly column in The Independent. His book, Crap Dates, is available here and you can follow him on Twitter (he tweets a lot, but he's ridiculously entertaining).
