Though it's not the North American tour announcement Depeche Mode fans have been waiting for, some exciting news was announced today! Depeche Mode kick off Live on Letterman's 2013 series with a live webcast from New York's Ed Sullivan Theater on March 11th. The hour long concert streams live starting at 8pm ET on the Live on Letterman site, Vevo, and in New York's Times Square!  The concert is expected to include the live debut of tracks from the forthcoming album Delta Machine, along with classics from their catalog.  After the live event is over, the webcast will be available for on demand viewing, plus Depeche Mode are scheduled to appear later that night on the Letterman show on CBS. The trailer for the Live on Letterman webcast is posted here.

Depeche Mode are expected to announce dates for their North American tour very soon. Dave Gahan said in a recent interview that the U.S. live dates will begin on the west coast, and will likely kick off near the end of the summer.

Depeche Mode return with their 13th studio album Delta Machine on March 26th.
