Original members of Smashing Pumpkins will be reuniting for a summer tour, but it will be missing one key component: original bassist D'arcy Wretzky.

Wretzky told Blast Echo that she was not invited to participate:

“My apologies to all of the Smashing Pumpkins fans out there who are excited about this oncoming reunion tour of the original members of the band. I know this is a huge disappointment for me, as well, but it’s not going to happen [with me].

I only just found about yesterday that the band has decided to go with a different bass player.”

Wretzky says the tour will kick off in July but didn't reveal the identity of the band's bass player.

Billy Corgan began teasing the reunion last week by posting an in-studio picture of himself, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin in the studio together on his Instagram.
